Landlord Accreditation Application Form Checklist

The Wolverhampton RwC Landlord Accreditation Scheme awards accreditation to reputable landlords and letting agents who undergo training and comply with our code of conduct. Becoming accredited, along with undertaking eLearning courses, provides landlords with knowledge on key issues and how to implement change when required, ensuring you have the confidence to conduct your business in a professional manner with the support of our knowledgeable team.

Signing up to become an accredited landlord or letting agent with Wolverhampton RwC is simple. The application will ask you for some basic information about you and will take you to the on-line application form process.

Accreditation will be given where a landlord/letting agent fulfils the criteria of the Scheme. This will involve ensuring, as far as reasonably possible, that the landlord/letting agent is responsible, competent and suitable to be a member of the Scheme:

  • No conviction for illegal eviction or harassment of tenants
  • No failings to comply with any statutory notice or house in multiple occupation requirements resulting in prosecution or works being carried out by Wolverhampton City Council
  • No conviction for non-compliance of a Planning Enforcement notice relating to a residential property
  • No other convictions, which would indicate, to the team unsuitability

By signing up to our scheme you are agreeing to sign up to our newsletter which you can unsubscribe from at any time.

If you have any questions and would like to talk about the scheme, email the team - RwC@wolverhampton.gov.uk

You must read and agree to the Scheme's Code of Conduct (in development) before proceeding with your application. This should be agreed by a person having authority to commit the business to the Code.
