Sweeping reforms to the private rental sector have been published as the long-awaited Renters’ Reform Bill had its first reading – though it could take months to pass through parliament.
After months of waiting, the Government has published the long-awaited Renters’ Reform Bill - the biggest shake-up of the private rented sector in several decades.
This is seen as the most significant reform of private renting since the 1988 Housing Act.
The Bill announces that the following proposals will be brought before Parliament:

These provide an effective arena to exchange news, views and experiences with other landlords and also are a good way of updating landlords on current changes in legislation and council-led initiatives.
